North Schuylkill linebacker Tyler Elsdon commits to Penn State

Penn State received its 13th verbal commitment from the class of 2020 Tuesday when three-star linebacker Tyler Elsdon of North Schuylkill High School announced on Twitter his plans to enroll next year.

Elsdon, 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, has scholarship offers from 26 schools, including Louisville, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, Army, Air Force and several Ivy League institutions.

Penn State has received commitments from five prospects in the past five days, including defensive tackle Fatorma Mulbah, wide receiver Jaden Dottin, defensive back Ji’Ayir Brown and defensive end Coziah Izzard. The Nittany Lions’ class is ranked 29th in the nation and sixth in the Big Ten, according to Rivals.com.

In related recruiting news, four-star linebacker Derek Wingo of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has flipped to Florida after committing to Penn State six months ago.
