Minor league report: Penguins shut out by Sound Tigers

Goaltender Dustin Tokarski made 24 saves for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 3-0 loss to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Conn. on Saturday.

It marked the third time in five games the Penguins (15-12-3-1) have been shut out.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game against the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Friday, 7:05 p.m.

Goaltender Emil Larmi made 36 saves for the Wheeling Nailers in a 4-2 loss to the Kalamazoo Wings at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling.

Defenseman Marc-Olivier Duquette and forward Nick Saracino each scored goals for the Nailers (13-11-4-0) who had a four-game winning streak snapped.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is against the Toldeo Walleye at the Huntingdon Center in Toledo, Ohio on Friday, 7:15 p.m.
