Minor league report: Penguins fall to Phantoms, 5-3

Goaltender Emil Larmi made 27 save for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 5-3 loss at home to the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.

Forwards Jan Drozg, Myles Powell and Kevin Roy each scored goals for the Penguins (24-18-3-5).

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is on the road against the Hartford Wolf Pack at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn. Wednesday, 7 p.m.

Goaltender Alex D’Orio made 31 saves for the Wheeling Nailers in a 5-3 road loss to the Reading Royals at the Santander Arena in Reading, Pa.

Forward Graham Knott had a goal and an assist for the Nailers (21-20-5-0) while defenseman Craig Skudalski and forward Ryan Scarfo each added a goal.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is on the road against the Cincinnati Cyclones at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati on Friday, 7:35 p.m.
