Minor league report: Penguins drop fourth straight

Goaltender Casey DeSmith made 23 saves for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 5-1 road loss to the rival Hershey Bears at the Giant Center in Hershey on Saturday.

Defenseman David Warsofsky scored the lone goal for the Penguins (27-24-3-5) who have lost four consecutive games.

The Penguins’ next game is on the road against the Binghamton Devils at Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton, N.Y. on Friday, 7:05 p.m.

Goaltender Emil Larmi made 23 saves for the Wheeling Nailers in a 5-2 loss at home to the Cincinnati Cyclones at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling.

Forwards Cam Brown and Renars Krastenbergs each scored goals for the Nailers (24-25-5-0) who have lost five of their past six games.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is on the road against the Toledo Walleye at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio, 5:15 p.m.
