Minor league report: Penguins, DeSmith fall to Bears in overtime

Goaltender Casey DeSmith made 32 saves for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 3-2 overtime loss to the rival Hershey Bears at the Giant Center in Hershey on Sunday.

Forwards Anthony Angello and Sam Miletic each scored for the Penguins (13-8-3-1) who have lost three consecutive games.

The Penguins next game is against the Rochester Americans at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, N.Y. on Wednesday, 7:05 p.m.

Goaltender Andrew D’Agostini made 27 saves for the Wheeling Nailers in a 5-2 loss to the Toledo Walleye at WesBanco Arena.

Forwards Brandon Hawkins and Willy Smith scored goals for the Nailers (9-10-4-0) who have lost seven of their past eight games.

The Nailers’ next game is against the Rapid City Rush at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City, S.D. on Wednesday, 9:05 p.m.
