Minor league report: Nailers rout Wings

Two goals and two assists by forward Cédric Desruisseaux led the Wheeling Nailers to a 7-2 win against the Kalamazoo Wings at the Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo, Mich. on Friday.

Forwards David Jankowski, Matt Koopman and Félix Paré all had a goal and an assist for Wheeling (2-0-0-0) while goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 31 saves in the victory, raising his record to 2-0-0.

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Fort Wayne Komets on Saturday, 7:30 p.m.
