Minor league report: Nailers dropped by Stingrays

The Wheeling Nailers’ hopes for their first winning streak of the season were dashed with a 4-2 road loss to the South Carolina Stingrays at the North Charlotte Coliseum in North Charleston, S.C., on Friday.

Forwards Sean Josling and Lawton Courtnall scored goals for Wheeling (2-4-3) while goaltender Brandon Halverson made 44 saves on 47 shots in the defeat.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is on the road against the Stingrays on Saturday, 6:05 p.m.
