Two goals by forward Sam Houde led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 5-1 home win against the rival Hershey Bears at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

Forward Alex Nylander had a goal and an assist for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (3-2-0-0) while forwards Vinnie Hinostroza and Marc Johnstone each contributed a goal. Goaltender Joel Blomqvist made 19 saves on 20 shots as his record improved to 2-1-0-0.

Penguins forward Sam Poulin returned to the lineup after missing two games due to an undisclosed injury.
