Minor league report: Drozg scores twice for Nailers in win over Cyclones

Forward Jan Drozg scored two goals and recorded an assist for the Wheeling Nailers in a 4-3 home win against the Cincinnati Cyclones at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling on Tuesday.

A fifth-round pick of the Penguins in 2017, Drozg is now fourth in scoring in the ECHL with 18 points (10 goals, eight assists) through 14 games.

Forward Brandon Hawkins netted a goal and two assists for the Nailers (7-5-2-0) while forward Renars Krastensbergs added two assists. Goaltender Alex D’Orio made 27 saves in the victory.

Wheeling’s next game is on the road against the Indy Fuel at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis on Friday, 7:35 p.m.
