A goal and an assist by forward Colin White led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 4-1 road win against the Utica Comets at Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, N.Y. on Friday.

Goaltender Joel Blomqvist made 21 saves on 22 shots, improving his record to 7-4-2. Defensemen Will Butcher and Jack Rathbone as well as forward Peter Abbandonato all contributed goals for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (13-9-3-0).

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the Rochester Americans on Saturday, 6:05 p.m.


Two goals by forward Jordan Frasca helped the Wheeling Nailers claim a 4-1 home win against the Indy Fuel at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va.

Defenseman Owen Headrick contributed a goal and an assist for Wheeling (11-10-1-1) while forward Evan Vierling recorded two assists.

Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 24 saves on 25 shots, improving his record to 7-5-1.

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Cincinnati Cylcones on Saturday, 7:10 p.m.
