Minor league report: Adam Johnson, Penguins beat Wolf Pack in overtime

A penalty shot goal in overtime by forward Adam Johnson gave the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a 4-3 road win against the Hartford Wolf Pack at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn. on Saturday.

Johnson as well as forwards Cole Cassels and Kevin Roy each had a goal and an assist for the Penguins (27-20-3-5) while goaltender Dustin Tokarski made 25 saves in the victory.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is on the road against the Providence Bruins at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, R.I. on Sunday, 3:05 p.m.

Goaltender Alex D’Orio made 26 saves for the Wheeling Nailers in a 3-2 road loss to the Kalamazoo Wings at the Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Forward Brandon Hawkins and defenseman Blake Siebenaler each scored goals for the Nailers (23-23-5-0) who have lost three consecutive games.

The Nailers’ next game is on the road against the Brampton Beast at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ont. on Sunday, 4 p.m.
