Ted Ku-DiPietro and Jovanny Bolivar scored on long-range strikes to help Loudoun United FC to a 2-1 victory Wednesday night, ending the Pittsburgh Riverhounds’ winning streak at three games.

Louis Perez scored for the Riverhounds (5-4-2). It was the second win of the season for Loudoun United (2-7-0), which received eight yellow cards in the game. The Riverhounds received one.

Ku-DiPietro gave Loudoun a 1-0 lead just before halftime on a shot from about five yards outside the penalty area.

The Riverhounds answered before the second half was three minutes old. Tommy Williamson forced a turnover and Anthony Velarde made a diagonal pass to the left side of the box to Perez, who finished for his first professional goal.

Loudoun retook the lead in the 75th minute when Bolivar took a pass about 40 yards out with his back to goal, turned and scored to make it 2-1.

The game was delayed for 1 hour, 40 minutes because of lightning.

The Riverhounds will return home to meet the Charlotte Independence at 7 p.m. Saturday.
