Latrobe native Sean Knaus named Ligonier Country Club pro

Latrobe native Sean Knaus grew up working on a golf course.

In his senior year in high school, the 2008 graduate won the Class AAA Section 1 title at Latrobe Elks Golf Club, where he worked.

Knaus recently was hired as head golf professional at Ligonier Country Club to replace John Klinchock, who was hired at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown.

Knaus was a graduate of Cal (Pa.), where he earned a degree in Sports Management and a Concentration in Golf Management.

He is a member of the PGA of America.

Knaus previously worked at Sewickley Heights Country Club, the Pittsburgh Field Club and Edgewood Country Club.

He and his wife, Heather, and son, Aiden, reside in Cheswick.
