WWE star Kurt Angle to launch his own podcast
Kurt Angle is getting into the podcast game.
It’s true, it’s — you Kurt Angle fans know where we’re going here — true.
First reported by Sports Illustrated, “The Kurt Angle Show” will debut Feb. 7 and be hosted by the WWE star and Conrad Thompson. Thompson is best known for his stable of wrestling podcasts with the likes of Jim Ross, Bruce Prichard, Tony Schiavone, Arn Anderson and Eric Bischoff.
“We’re going to have a lot of fun with this podcast and get into some great wrestling stories,” Angle, an Olympic gold medalist and Mt. Lebanon graduate, told Sports Illustrated. “It’s true that I have a lot of stories to tell, and I won’t be holding back.”
Episodes of Angle’s podcast will drop at 6 a.m. Sundays on all major platforms and won’t strictly be about wrestling, as Angle alluded to talking about his battles with addiction and his sobriety.
“I’m very proud of the fact that I’ve been clean and sober for nearly eight years, and I want to help others,” Angle said. “If I can help one person with this show, that will mean the world to me.”
