Sean Knapp wins rain-shortened Senior Amateur

Oakmont native Sean Knapp added another title to his resume.

The Hannastown Golf Club member shot a 4-under par 67 to win the rain-shorted Pennsylvania Golf Association’s Senior Amateur at Butler Country Club.

The tournament was shortened to one round because rain.

Knapp edged St. Clair’s Dave Brown, who shot a 3-under 68.

Steve Walczak of Loch Naim Golf Club was third with a 2-under 69, and Sandy Run Country Club’s Duke Delcher was fourth with a 1-under 70

The Super-Senior event was won by White Manor Country Club’s Don Donatoni with a 1-under 141.

The Super-Senior event was able to complete two rounds.

The top local finishers were Butler’s George Bilowick and Indiana’s Don Erickson III, who tied for eighth. Hannastown’s Vince Zachetti was 10th, and Hannastown’s Robert Allshouse was 11th.
