Cal (Pa.) senior Jalen Cloud earned all-region honors in three events during the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons.

Jalen Cloud helped the Cal (Pa.) 400-meter relay team post the second-best time in the Atlantic Region this spring while at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships.

For their performance, the group earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association all-region status.

Cloud, a Kiski Area graduate, joined Kristopher Lytle, Aaron McPherson (Brentwood) and Tyrese Canada on the relay unit, which placed second in the PSAC finals in a time of 41.36 seconds.

Cloud also earned individual all-region honors in the triple jump. He ranked third in the region with a mark of 48 feet, 83⁄4 inches set during a meet at IUP in April.

He also earned all-region honors during the indoor track and field season this winter in his final year of eligibility.

The top five individuals in each event from each region earned the all-region distinction, in addition to each of the members of the region’s top three relay teams.

Penn-Trafford has five titles and three runner-up finishes.

Final H.S. football game

The final high school football all-star game of the 2021-22 school year involving Western Pennsylvania players was held Thursday night.
