The first Pittsburgh Steelers player from the Super Bowl era to have his number retired is having one of his game-worn jerseys put up for auction.
Joe Greene, considered the greatest player in franchise history, will have his No. 75 jersey from the 1975 Super Bowl championship season auctioned off as part of the Lelands 2022 fall classic event.
The auction, which can be found on Lelands.com, runs through Saturday.
The jersey is black with gold-and-white accents on the sleeves and Greene’s name displayed in gold on the back.
Bidding for the jersey opened at $10,000 and, as of Tuesday afternoon, had a high bid worth $30,718. The collection includes two jackets worn by Jack Lambert and a football used in rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett’s first NFL game earlier this season.
