Two significant contributors were added to the Pittsburgh Steelers injury report Friday when starting right guard James Daniels and inside linebacker Robert Spillane were listed as limited participants.

Spillane has a back injury and Daniels a groin ailment, according to the league-mandated report. Neither was listed previously, nor was rookie tight end Connor Heyward. Heyward sat out Friday because of illness.

Also not practicing Friday was third-down running back Jaylen Warren and erstwhile starting cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon, each of whom has a hamstring injury. Witherspoon has missed six of the past seven games, and Warren did not finish Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Special-teamer and No. 5 wide receiver Miles Boykin was upgraded to a limited practice participant Friday after he also missed the second half of the Bengals game and did not practice Thursday because of an oblique injury.

The Steelers are scheduled to play at the Indianapolis Colts on Monday night.
