A birdie on the final hole helped Franklin Regional senior Palmer Jackson and Greensburg’s Kevin Fajt won the annual Westmoreland County Golf Association’s Better-Ball tournament at Hannastown Golf Club in Greensburg.

Jackson and Fajt approached the final hole a shot behind Greensburg’s Arnie Cutrell and Javon Trout, but Cutrell and Trout had a bogey on the final hole.

Jackson and Fajt, which shot a 4-under-par 31 on the back nine, finished with a 5-under 65. Cutrell and Trout finished with a 4-under 66.

Third place went to Brandon Antus and Stori Snider, a 3-under 67,. Fourth place was the team of Sean Knapp and Brady Pevarnik (2-under 68) and fifth place to Bo Ruffner and Bryan Grejtak, a 2-under 68. A scorecard playoff decided fourth place.
