Friday’s Pirates-Reds game postponed by rain, rescheduled as July 7 split doubleheader

The Pittsburgh Pirates’ game against the Cincinnati Reds on Friday night at Great American Ball Park has been postponed due to rain and rescheduled as part of a split doubleheader on July 7.

The Pirates and Reds already were scheduled to play on that date. Now, Game 1 will start at 2:10 p.m. as a make-up of Friday’s game. Game 2 has been moved from 6:40 p.m. to 7:10 p.m. Both games will be nine innings.

The Pirates and Reds were scheduled to play a four-game series featuring a split doubleheader on Saturday, with the first game starting at 12:35 p.m. and the second game at 6:40 p.m., and a 1:40 p.m. first pitch on Sunday.
