Former IUP and Jeannette basketball coach Carl Davis died Tuesday, according to WCCS Radio in Indiana.

He was 85.

An IUP and Indiana County hall of famer, Davis had 10 winning seasons in 13 years at IUP, posting 199 wins and nine playoff trips. He won more than 300 games in 12 years at Jeannette, taking the reins of the Jayhawks at age 23.

Some forget Davis also coached IUP baseball for three years.

WCCS said the viewing will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Snyder Funeral Home in Irwin.
