In a post-Super Bowl “First Call,” Pittsburgh Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw reveals the whereabouts of his four championship rings. New Kensington product Skyy Moore scores in the Super Bowl.

JuJu Smith-Schuster steals the Super Bowl Sunday fashion show. A veteran Baltimore Raven announces that he’ll be back for a 16th season.

And the New York Jets appear ready to enter the Aaron Rodgers derby.

Lord of the rings

Over the weekend, Fox distributed some online videos of their talent who would be on the Super Bowl broadcast. One of them was former Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw.

Bradshaw explained the importance of winning four Super Bowls.

“I’ve never had anybody ask me, ‘Terry, how many yards did you throw for? Terry, how many touchdown passes did you throw?’” Bradshaw said. “But they have said, ‘Hey man, where are your Super Bowl rings?’ So that tells you that winning championships is easily the most important thing that you can ever accomplish as a football player. The rings are important.”

But not important enough for Bradshaw to keep. The Hall of Famer revealed that he donated them to his alma mater, Louisiana Tech University.

“They’re in a vault — a box. It’s a small school. So athletes can come in and look at that and go, ‘Well, if he could do it, I can do it.’ Because they’ll find you anywhere,” Bradshaw said.

Bradshaw said that his three daughters know they can reclaim them whenever they want. But he insists they never will.

Quite the look

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster had a unique pregame wardrobe.

The ex-Steeler went with a kilt, army-style boots, a Seinfeld-esque puffy white shirt with a mock tie and something close to a tam o’ shanter kind of hat.

Twitter had a good deal of fun with JuJu’s fashion choices.

During the game, Smith-Schuster had seven catches for 53 yards as the Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35.

Skyy’s the limit

New Kensington native Skyy Moore had a touchdown in the Super Bowl win for the Chiefs. He caught a four-yard swing pass from MVP Patrick Mahomes.

His touchdown with 9:22 left in the fourth quarter made the score 35-27 Kansas City.

That was his first NFL touchdown.

Moore also had a big punt return late in the AFC Championship Game against the Cincinnati Bengals. This was the Shady Side Academy graduate’s rookie season in the NFL. Between the regular season and the postseason, Moore caught 27 passes.

Raven running it back

Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Calais Campbell is going to play for at least one more season. He made that announcement Sunday on the NFL Network.

Campbell had 36 combined tackles, 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 2022, his third season with the Ravens. He also had a big blocked field goal against the Steelers during a game at Acrisure Stadium in December. At 36 years old, Campbell will be entering the final season of a two-year deal with Baltimore.

During his 15-year NFL career, Campbell has made six Pro Bowls and registered 99 sacks. Campbell previously spent three seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars and nine seasons with the Arizona Cardinals.

From Green Bay to ‘Gang Green’?

Many thought that the New York Jets would be a good landing spot for Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers if he leaves Wisconsin.

Now, according to ESPN.com’s Jeremy Fowler, the Jets have made their interest official by reaching out to the Packers and inquiring about Rodgers’ availability.

Also Sunday, Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported “if Rodgers comes to the team with a request to play his 19th season elsewhere, sources say the Packers are open to working with the four-time AP NFL MVP on a trade.”

The Jets recently hired former Packers assistant coach Nathaniel Hackett to be the new offensive coordinator.
