Tuesday’s “First Call” has some information about various Pittsburgh Steelers on the move. A former Pitt Panther sparkled on “Monday Night Football.” And a Duquesne football player walks away with conference honors for a second straight week.
On the move again
Former Steeler Terrell Edmunds has been traded away by the Philadelphia Eagles. This after just signing in Philly during the offseason.
Edmunds is heading to Tennessee in exchange for former All-Pro defensive back Kevin Byard. The Titans are also packaging out a pair of Day 3 draft picks.
Byard is a Philadelphia native who had four interceptions last year. Although, like Edmunds, this season he has none.
In six games with the Titans in 2023, Byard has 47 total tackles, including 30 solo stops. He also has a fumble recovery and has started all six games. He has started 111 consecutive games overall.
Now that Edmunds is with Tennessee, that means he’ll be playing back in Pittsburgh soon. The Titans are at Acrisure Stadium for a Thursday night game on Nov. 2.

New homes
A pair of former Steelers have signed with new teams. In fact, one of them is on the club visiting Acrisure Stadium on Sunday.
Henry Mondeaux just re-signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 28-year-old Mondeaux signed as a free agent in Jacksonville in March. He spent the 2022 season in New York with the Giants. Before that, he was a three-year member of the Steelers.
Mondeaux went on the Jaguars’ injured reserve in mid-August. He reached an injury settlement with the franchise to waive him from the roster a week later.
The Jags are listed as 2.5-point favorites Sunday on the North Shore.
Meanwhile, the Giants have signed recently released receiver/special teamer Gunner Olszewski to the pracrtice squad to help with their return efforts. On Sunday, both running back Eric Gray and wide receiver Sterling Shepard muffed punts.
Big night
Former Pitt Panther and USC Trojan Jordan Addison was a star on “Monday Night Football.” The Minnesota rookie wide receiver ended the night with 123 yards and two touchdowns as the Vikings upset the San Francisco 49ers, 22-17.

Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins went 35 of 45 for 378 yards. The Vikings improved to 3-4, and the Niners fell to 5-2.
That was Addison’s first 100-yard game and the first multi-touchdown game of his career.
Special performance
Duquesne football player Tim Lowery is the NEC Special Teams Player of the Week. The defensive back had a scoop-and-score touchdown last weekend during a botched punt against St. Francis.
We’ll take that ????

That score made the game 31-7. But it proved large as St. Francis stormed back. But the Dukes still won 38-35.
Duquesne running back Taj Butts was the Offensive Player of the Week after scoring three touchdowns against Central Connecticut State the previous Saturday.
