In Monday’s “First Call,” hockey hilarity. Le’Veon Bell’s new rap video is completely on brand. A massive baseball bet goes haywire. And one of the best dunks you’ll ever see.

Understated and tasteful

A teaser for Le’Veon Bell’s new video, “Slide,” is out.

Now I know why he needed so much money in free agency. There’s quite a lot of production cost here.

Christian Breslauer is credited as the director. Is he a discount version of Michael Bay or something? That looked like the movie “The Rock” was having a bad rap nightmare and woke up mid-dream sequence.

Just curious: Did Bell pull a groin a quarter of the way through the video like he did against the Patriots in the AFC Championship game and call in a stunt double?

I wish it were true

If only this were accurate.

Robin Lehner was given this year’s NHL Masterton Trophy. It is awarded annually to the NHL player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to ice hockey.

The goalie fought bipolar disorder and addiction before seeking treatment during the 2018 offseason.

Here’s the problem. Lehner — who recently signed a free-agent deal with Chicago — spent last season with the New York Islanders.

Not the New York Rangers.

Take a close look at the picture of the trophy that Lehner tweeted.

Oops.

Based on allowing six goals in four games against the Penguins in the playoffs last year, I bet they would’ve preferred him to be Ranger.

Fancy

If you missed this dunk over the weekend, it’s worth checking out.

It comes to us courtesy of the Miami Pro League.

Briante Weber makes the pass. Derrick Jones Jr. finishes with the slam.

I don’t know how long those guys worked on that. But it was worth it.

Pow!

Former Pittsburgh Power quarterback Tommy Grady is still slinging it in the Arena Football League.

He threw five touchdowns as the Albany Empire beat the Philadelphia Soul in the championship game Sunday, 45-27.

But receiver Quentin Sims stole the show with this stiff arm en route to one of his four touchdowns.

The Empire won a title back in 1999 as the Albany Firebirds.

That’ll hurt

If you bet the 79-41 Astros to beat the 39-78 Orioles, you lost.

Big time.

According to ESPN.com, the Orioles were listed as high as +420 underdogs at some gambling houses.

That means if you bet $100 on woeful Baltimore to beat Justin Verlander and the AL West-leading Astros, you won $420.

Houston lost 8-7. ESPN’s David Purdum reports that the Astros “were one of the largest single-game favorites ever. They closed as -460 favorites at Caesars Sportsbook but could be found as high as -550 favorites at Station Casinos’ sportsbooks in Nevada.

“Houston is the ninth favorite of -400 or greater since 2005 and only the second to lose, joining the 2007 Twins.”

Hey, brother, can you spare a dime?

Purdum wrote that since the line was so skewed, 89% of the tickets and 97% of the money was on the underdog Orioles.
