Ex-Penguins forward Dominik Kahun signs in Switzerland

Former Penguins forward Dominik Kahun signed a three-year contract with SC Bern of Switzerland’s National League.

Bern announced the signing on its website. The contract has an NHL release clause each offseason.

Kahun, a native of the Czech Republic who grew up in Germany, spent the past three seasons in the NHL, including part of the 2019-20 campaign with the Penguins. During that season, Kahun appeared in 50 games for the Penguins and scored 27 points (10 goals, 17 assists).

Last season, Kahun played for the Edmonton Oilers. In 48 games, he scored 15 points (nine goals, six assists).

Kahun, 26, has also played for the Chicago Blackhawks and Buffalo Sabres.
