Fresh off a berth on the all-Atlantic 10 first team, Duquesne’s Tarence Guinyard has collected another postseason honor.

The senior point guard transfer from UT Martin on Tuesday was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Mid Atlantic Region second team.

West Virginia senior guard Honor Huff earned East Region first-team honors. Huff, a Chattanooga transfer, leads WVU in scoring (15.8 ppg).

The Mountaineers (18-14) will play Stanford at 5 p.m. Thursday in a College Basketball Crown first-round game.

Duquesne, led by Guinyard’s scoring (16.6 ppg), assists (4.7 apg) and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.11), reportedly was under consideration for an NIT bid but fell short as five other Atlantic 10 teams made the cut.

Duquesne (18-15) reached the quarterfinals of the A-10 Tournament at PPG Paints Arena and dropped a 71-66 decision to two-time champion VCU.
