Pitt defensive tackle Nakhi Johnson, center Terrence Moore and cornerback Noah Biglow are planning to enter the NCAA transfer portal. Johnson made his announcement on X and Moore’s agency, 3 Strand Sports & Entertainment, also used X to announce its client’s plans.

All three ended the regular season as backups at their positions.

Johnson, a West Mifflin graduate, made four starts this season, the first of his four-year Pitt career, after transitioning from defensive end where he was a reserve from 2021-23. He recorded 14 tackles this season, with one for a loss, one quarterback hurry and one pass breakup.

Moore (6-foot-5, 305 pounds) started one game this season — a 37-9 loss at Louisville on Nov. 23 — when center Lyndon Cooper was injured. Moore appeared in 39 games (10 starts) throughout his career and started nine at center in 2023.

During the offseason, Moore was a star in Pitt’s weight room, holding his body off the ground for 25 minutes in an exercise called a plank. Chosen to the All-ACC Academic team in 2023, he graduated from Pitt in three years with a 3.85 grade-point average and a bachelor’s degree in communications.

Moore, 21, played at traditional high school power Massillon Washington where he was Ohio’s No. 21 overall prospect, according to Rivals.com.

Biglow, who was a redshirt junior this season, appeared in 20 games over four seasons without a start.

The transfer portal opens Dec. 9.
