Deer Lakes, West Point to play for District 26 10U baseball title

West Point 10U Little League All-Stars will face Deer Lakes at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Apollo for the District 26 baseball championship.

The teams met in pool play, with Deer Lakes defeating West Point, 7-4. West Point is 4-2 in the tournament.

West Point advanced by defeating West Shamokin, 17-3, on Monday. Winning pitcher Luke Semelka collected four hits for West Point.

Brody Chismar had three hits, including two doubles, Dominic Scarton had a triple, and Mikey Monios had two hits including a double.

West Point coach Mike Semelka said he’s hoping for a different outcome against Deer Lakes on Wednesday.
