The winner of Super Bowl LV is….

The Kansas City Chiefs, according to this year’s Madden simulation.

The EA Sports franchise simulated the Super Bowl 55 matchup between the Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Madden 21.

The result was a 37-27 final with the Chiefs winning their second straight Lombardi trophy. Patrick Mahomes, the Madden 2020 cover star, went 31 for 41 in passing attempts, throwing for 422 yards and four touchdowns in the simulation.

Tom Brady, the Madden 2018 cover player, went 30 for 44, with 332 passing yards, three touchdowns and an interception in the losing effort. The Bucs kept it close in the first half, with a 14-13 Chiefs lead at halftime.

The Madden pick is in line with what sportsbooks and oddsmakers like for the actual game at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. The Chiefs are -3 or -3.5 favorite, depending on the source. Kansas City is also -167 moneyline.
