Irvin Parra scored in the 81st minute Saturday night, leading the Charlotte Independence to a 1-0 victory and ending a six-game unbeaten streak for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

The Riverhounds (14-7-5) remain in second place in the USL Championship’s Atlantic Division, five points behind first-place Tampa Bay and five points ahead of third-place Miami. Charlotte (11-8-4) is in fourth.

Charlotte’s Valentin Sabella set up the winning goal, sending a through ball ahead to Parra, who was making a diagonal run into the penalty area.

Riverhounds goalkeeper Danny Vitiello made a season-high six saves.

The Hounds will host the Charleston Battery (8-8-5) at 7 p.m. Saturday at Highmark Stadium.
