“Today we found out some AMAZING news,” Chacko’s said on Facebook. The Barstool Fund “has chosen Chacko’s as a small business they are going to help fund through this pandemic!”
“We entered this contest hoping to help our Dad, Aunt & Uncle (our entire family really) in their endeavor to help keep this business around during a very hard time. Out of thousands, we have been picked …. in the first 10! We are so humbled & honored.”
Chacko’s was the 10th business to be selected and supported by The Barstool Fund and the first from Pennsylvania.

Each month, businesses selected by The Barstool Fund will receive money to stay open and cover their costs until the pandemic is over. To qualify for the Barstool program, businesses had to have their payroll on and be paying their employees
What started as a $500,000 donation from Portnoy and Barstool Sports has grown rapidly, with more than $4 million raised by over 45,000 supporters as of Thursday afternoon.
Barstool Sports has also added merchandise from the businesses they have chosen to support to its online store, with 100% of the net proceeds will go towards The Barstool Fund.
Portnoy visited Pittsburgh in the fall and made several stops to some of our region’s notable restaurants.
