Au’Diese Toney, who was one of Pitt’s most prolific rebounders over the past three seasons, will transfer to Arkansas. Toney announced the commitment on his Twitter account, with the words, “Last Stop.”

After appearing in 79 games and starting 69 for Pitt, Toney decided to leave the team Feb. 25 under mutual agreement with coach Jeff Capel. He joined former Pitt teammate Xavier Johnson, who the day before said he was transferring.

Since then, Pitt’s Gerald Drumgoole Jr., Abdoul Karim Coulibaly and Terrell Brown have entered the NCAA transfer portal. Brown, a senior, was the only player of the three not expected to return.

Toney was Pitt’s second leading scorer (14.4 points per game) and rebounder (5.9) this season. He also led the team in rebounding (5.6) in 2018-19 and was second in 2019-20 (4.8).

Toney, a 6-foot-6 guard who also can play forward, will join Arkansas after the Razorbacks (25-7, 13-4 SEC) reached the NCAA Tournament’s Elite 8 where they lost to Baylor on Monday. Arkansas was ranked No. 8 in the Associated Press poll before losing to LSU in the SEC Tournament semifinals.
