Letter-writer Al Scovern (“Loyalty to Trump has gotten Allegheny Valley nowhere,” April 8, TribLIVE) traveled from Maine to visit his hometown Tarentum and felt he had to comment as to how we are a bunch of nut cases and degenerates because he saw President Trump signs and flags, and told us to send back our stimulus checks. Well, Al, did you send your check from Trump? Or are you just another blowhard who thinks your opinion is the only one that counts — that nobody else should dare have their own opinion on any matter that would be of concern to you?

People like you are the big problem in our country right now. Everyone has the same rights as you to express their views. It’s still a free country, even though it sounds to me like you would not give those same rights to others.

Maybe if you don’t like our area and our ways, then you should just stay in Maine. If you don’t like the trees, then it would be best to stay out of the forest.
