During the NBC Town Hall on Oct. 15, I saw President Trump do a great job answering questions from a combative Savannah Guthrie. She constantly interrupted him, argued with him and questioned him as if she were a Democratic rival. He was polite and engaging.

After reading the Trib’s front-page Associated Press article about it (“Trump, Biden go at it — from a distance — in town halls,” Oct. 15, TribLIVE), I discovered that I was completely wrong. By the end of the second paragraph I read how Trump was “defensive,” “evasive,” “angry” and “combative,” and answered “testily.”

Was there a contest to see who could write the most biased and miserable description of the event? If so, congratulations to the winner. I can’t imagine anyone doing a better job.
