President Trump’s tariffs are the downfall of American and international economies. I predict they will wreak more havoc domestic and abroad than the Smoot-Hawley tariffs ever did, and the six-time bankrupt Trump will add a seventh and eighth to his belt. Trump tariffs will go beyond the “asinine,” the “economic stupidity” or the “classic economics horror story” warning labels affixed to Smoot-Hawley.
I believe the Trump sabotage of the American and international economies is only part of his totalitarian regime. When I was a young American, I read Dr. Tom Dooley’s accounts of totalitarian communist takeovers in Southeast Asia. Trump is following that script and the script of other dictators. Once in power, Trump has set out to destroy educational institutions and free speech of the media, press and individuals. He has pardoned the worst America has to offer, not its best. Trump has established a regime of who I believe are the worst possible people to head his administration. He wants extreme vengeance on all who oppose him.
I don’t see any salvation for America or the world as long as Trump rules. America is past the eve of destruction. I think economic collapse, murdered democracy, concentrations camps, racism and genocide are Trump’s legacy.
He has fooled many into believing he speaks for God. I believe no such thing. In my opinion, Trump speaks for evil, not good, not God. America has not yet eaten from the tree of knowledge. It cannot tell good from evil.
