MAGA is back to asking us to believe President Donald Trump survived last year’s assassination attempt because of divine intervention from God. I have railed against mixing politics and religion before and have found the near Christ-like worship of Trump to be the most un-Christian act anyone can do. But if our country is going to go down the path of believing in this intervention, perhaps I can offer an alternate theory.

If you read the Book of Revelation, you will learn in Chapter 13 that the dragon (Satan) will bring forth the beast to usher in the age of the Antichrist. We learn it is prophesized that the beast will suffer a head wound but not die. The multitudes will worship this beast and believe his salvation is why they should follow him. The beast will reign for 42 months (almost as long as a presidential term) and during this time will utter many blasphemes and commit acts that Christ hates.

Read Matthew 20:40-45 if you want to get a summary of what Christ expects from us. Just another perspective so those who claim to want to follow Christian teachings can get a bigger picture to consider.
