The writer of the letter “Soft-on-crime policies have tragic consequences” (Sept. 26, TribLive) says Democrats are soft on crime and let criminals out on the street. Did you forget the Jan. 6 Capitol riots and President Trump pardoning everyone charged with or convicted of crimes related to the day? Many of them were charged with crimes again after being pardoned.
Never has there ever been so much blame and hate among the American people as there has been after and during the Trump presidencies. This has got to stop. You can be a Republican or you can be a Democrat, and we can all have differences of opinions, but hate and crime have no place in our society.
