The greatest asset of any comedian is to deliver a line with an unsmiling, deadpan expression.

I recently witnessed Rachel Levine unabashedly state that she is the first woman appointed as an admiral to the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. How did we get here?

In 1972, Congress passed Title IX of the federal civil rights law that prohibited sex-based discrimination as part of the Education Amendments. Recipients of the funding were permitted to maintain sex-specific restrooms, locker rooms and the like.

In 2008, 56% of women voted for President Obama, and the 2012 election was much the same. So how did Obama reward these women for their loyalty?

In 2016, the Obama administration issued a letter to schools instructing them to treat a student’s “gender identity” as the student’s “sex.” I view this as the abolition of sex.

Now we have President Biden nominating a judge to the Supreme Court of the United States who won’t define the word “woman.” Ketanji Brown Jackson, when asked to answer that question, replied that she was not a biologist. This from a woman nominated to sit on the highest court in the land and make decisions that will affect the lives of all Americans. Any seventh grade student would be able to intelligently answer that question.

As some claim French philosopher Voltaire once said, “Certainly anyone who has the power to make you believe absurdities has the power to make you commit injustices.”
