State Rep. Leslie Rossi is right: Give everyone “exemption assistance” who needs it and wants it (“Westmoreland Co. lawmaker offers to help with vaccine exemptions as covid-19 infections surge,” Dec. 15, TribLIVE).

I have a niece who was fired because she would not get the vaccine because of her rare illness, because no one knows how this shot would affect her. We all have friends and relatives who have Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis or other diseases, and doctors do not know what will happen to them after they receive the shot. We know that the shots have caused health issues for some people.

Why do we want people to play Russian roulette? Let everyone make their own decision on what they want for their own well-being. Or is it that some people don’t really care about the rest of us ?
