Living in the Kiski area for about six years now, it appears to me that there are many roads to prosperity if we choose to take them.

River frontage is a valuable commodity for any area. We have a river that is compatible for fishing and boating. If the riverfront area was developed, this area could be a tourist attraction. We have hunting, fishing, boating and historic value. This could promote hotels and restaurants and increase traffic for existing businesses. East Vandergrift riverfront could be a start point for a recreational activities.

The naysayers will say, “Can’t be done … no money …,” etc. But changing attitudes to “It can be done” just might be enough positive attitude to move forward. Most progress is slow and resistance is high, but end results could bring prosperity to the entire Kiski valley.

The river is a valuable asset; don’t let opportunity slip by.
