I usually agree with President Trump, but Republicans should not do away with the filibuster. The Republicans would be very short-sighted to do this.
Now the Republicans control the House, the Senate and the presidency, but the Democrats shut down the government. It was a bad thing they did, but they used the filibuster in the Senate. It is a powerful weapon.
However, the Republicans must remember the winds of fortune often change. In the future, due to stupid voters or fraudulent elections, they may face a Democratic House majority, a Democratic Senate majority and a Democratic president. The Republicans can use the filibuster to stop a socialist agenda from ruining the country.
Republicans, please don’t throw away this weapon. You may need to use it in the future. The Democrats are very sneaky.
