The Pennsylvania Legislature’s inability to come to a budgetary compromise once again proves that it is one of the worst waste of our tax dollars. This august body is the second highest paid legislature in the country and it is unable to accomplish its main function, providing an on-time state budget.
This annual failure is indefensible. It is appalling that the officials we pay so handsomely are more concerned about serving their political party than serving the people who elected them. Neither party has all the right answers and each should be willing to compromise. We deserve better!
Oh and by the way, their salaries will go up Jan. 1.
