Don’t we think there is too much hypocrisy in our democracy?
In my opinion, as a former Pennsylvania health and safety inspector for licensed child care programs, our public-school administrations and school boards need more ethics and civics and less politics in our programming. We the taxpayers are already invested in staffing with doctorates in health, engineering and education, people who take oaths to “do no harm” and to do the best for our communities. So why would we need to follow any politicians, lawyers or solicitors? Don’t we think?
If we follow the experts and do what’s right, just, fair, equitable and ethical, why would we need to meet with highly paid solicitors, aka lawyers, behind closed doors and as agents of any legislators? Don’t we think?
I don’t mind paying increased taxes for better books, safer schools, and language and arts teachers, but do we really need to spend millions on branding, artificial turf and whatever a solicitor/lawyer is worth? “Ask a Solicitor” is free on YouTube today.
Also, why are we so divided when we need more community unity to pass our taxpayer budget and get what we need, instead of just what some politicians want for their constituents’ favors?
Let’s hope all this political drama gets its in-kind karma, without all the misleading legal indemnifications of our hard-earned regulations, that actually protect our cherished children, families and community generations.
