I know this is an opinion page and facts don’t really matter to a great many in Westmoreland County … i.e., the Sherry Hamilton legal, financial and procedural mess we are experiencing at the Register of Wills Office. Vote R no matter what! The truth is about performance records.
In this election year, I do feel compelled, though, to bring a little truth to contributors’ opinions. Republican or Democrat, a veteran’s military record should not be muddied by misinformation. The record of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, can be verified at Military.com, which includes the Republican candidate’s record as well. Walz put in for retirement and received approval long before his unit received orders to ship out.
Maybe before we all form those opinions we are so eager to write about we should educate ourselves with the facts.
