Letter to the editor: Democratic candidates’ promises won’t work

After listening to the recent Democratic presidential debate, which looked more like “Saturday Night Live,” I wondered: Is this the best the Democrats have to run for president?

Bernie Sanders talked about education in Cuba. I ask, how else would you brainwash our kids?

Joe Biden said 150 million people in the United States have been killed by guns since 2007. So how do we still have over 300 million people in the U.S.?

The others weren’t much better. I could go on and on.

Why didn’t they tell us how they are going to improve our lives without adding more taxes that we the people can’t afford? Why do they always want to give away someone else’s money, some to people who don’t want to work and can’t get it any other way?

Their promises aren’t workable. In 2008, we were promised the greatest health care in the world by the Democrats, and look what happened. Now some of them say it was a mistake. Why should we believe anything they say now?
