A Christmas wish list:
1. Tribune Review — continued success and viability, where our opinions matter.
2. Republicans — a backbone. You have more fight against each other than the opposition.
3. Democrats — a brain. Enough said .
4. D.C. political leaders — they should burn in effigy from the Washington Monument so as to light a fire in our citizenry to unify against your shameless and destructive partisanship.
5. Aborted babies — comfort in God’s cradle.
6. Mark Madden — a long overdue “tell it like it is “ award.
7. Chris Hoke — a job as Steelers head coach.
8. Mike Tomlin — a job you’re capable of (Cleveland Browns).
9. Art Rooney — the wherewithal to fire certain employees (here’s a hint: MT).
10. Mason Rudolph — the unsung hero award. You deserved better here; you’re a class act.
11. Ron Hextall — the GM of the Year award.
12. Pirates — a large moving truck. It’s been a great ride (we’ll help you pack).
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, Happy New Year and, most of all, my favorite, Happy Hoopla Day (Jan. 2), celebrating all the hoopla being over.
