As we start this presidential election year, I have a serious question to ask. Why do people hate President Trump? I honestly don’t understand it.

I didn’t agree with everything President Obama did or stood for, but I did not hate him. He was our president; he was my president.

Do you hate Trump because he is not a great speaker? Do you hate him because he uses bad words? Is it because he does things differently than past presidents? Is it because he defeated Hillary Clinton?

In a country of almost 330 million people, our two options to vote for four years ago were weak at best. My choice was to vote for the non-politician businessman. I am not racist or sexist. I merely voted for the person I thought would do the best job.

So I will end with the question I started with. Why the hatred?
