I found the letter “Minority rules in U.S.” (Feb. 29, TribLive) misleading in its claims that a handful of MAGA Republicans are obstructing funding of Ukrainian aid in Congress, when just the opposite is true.
You can always tell what Democrats are up to by what they accuse Republicans of doing.
The reason Republicans do not support the aid bill is because Democratic elites refuse to approve measures to stop the invasion of illegal immigrants across our borders.
The overwhelming majority of Americans of both parties believe illegal immigration is a major crisis which not only allows criminals, illegal drugs and terrorists into this country but is also overwhelming our social services and public schools and threatening the security and survival of our nation.
Yet a small group of Democratic elites stubbornly refuses to fix this disaster.
So courageous Republicans in Congress are following the wishes of the majority of Americans who want to stop our border invasion.
If Democrats want to give Ukraine aid, all they have to do is compromise on illegal immigration. Unfortunately, Democrats seem to think that “compromise” means only that Republicans give in to Democrats and not the other way around.
Yes, Ukraine has a serious problem with the Russian invasion, but our nation is also being invaded. And our homeland comes first!
