After reading Milyssa Ross Sassos’ letter “Witness to caring, generosity” (April 1, TribLIVE), I was prompted to write of my own experience. Early in the coronavirus panic buying, I was in Walmart looking for water, and I saw a young woman with a case. I asked her where she found it. She said, “I think it’s gone, but you can have mine if you need it.” I didn’t take her water, but I wanted to say that there are decent people out there — they are your neighbors.
