It’s finally the weekend. And after you’ve completed your Black Friday or Small Business Saturday shopping, here are some other fun things you can get yourself into.
Zoo Lights
Zoo Lights returns to the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium in Highland Park for the fourth year on Friday. The drive-thru event features thousands of LED lights that transform the park into a winter wonderland. There are more than 150 animal-shaped illuminated figures, including new images of this year’s zoo babies and an animated recreation of Eat’n Park’s classic Christmas tree and star commercial, as well as Daniel Tiger and friends from Fred Rogers Productions.
A downloadable podcast is available to bring seasonal music to each vehicle.
The tour takes about 30 minutes. Timed ticketing begins at 5:15 p.m. Cost is $45 per vehicle.

Glowland
The Oakland Business Improvement District’s Glowland, a winter light festival of art, music and play encompassing two square miles of Oakland, opens this weekend. Part of the exhibit features “EXPosure” at Schenley Plaza — an interactive installation created by Canada’s Lucion Media composed of three self-inflated vinyl spheres. Visit after dark and, by moving a light source in front of your face, you can generate a creative, artistic and living projection of yourself.
